Here we are, approaching the winter solstice. That’s if you’re in the southern hemisphere, of course.
So, winter, when a man’s mind turns to … blues. And more.
First of all, this week I managed to grab some of the recordings from Jazzfest 2011, and there were, as we know, some awesome performances. But now I can share some of the love with you: James Andrews, and Luther Kent.
And Arlo. Whose performance of St James Infirmary was awesome.
So, I thought, why not play a few other versions of that fine song? Cisco Houston, Hugh Laurie, and Tom Jones, perhaps?
Add a few drinking songs, and the usual mix of whatever-I-feel-like, and there you have it.
